Happy start of the week (and new month)! This is my second week back into real life after my almost  month long holiday and it's actually been easier to get back into routine than I had anticipated i.e. I have not woken up in a pool of tears everyday when my alarm goes off. Coming off holiday means, weight gain (yaaay!) so my friend and I are doing the Whole 30 for the month of May and I'll try and share as much of my experience as possible. I'll also try and get through editing footage from my holiday and share that as well. In the mean time, here is a super duper easy and yummy recipe for you to enjoy!

I posted a picture of my smoothie bowl back in March and I had a few people request that I do a post showing how I made it and I'm currently back in love with smoothies so I'm obliging. This is a great breakfast (and even snack) if you're tired of having typical breakfast meals or you just want to try something new. It's also super delicious and complies with paleo/clean eating/whole 30(minus the chia)/vegan/gluten free diet which is quite a rare feat!

I've found that using Casein and zucchini makes the smoothie base really creamy but you can use whey if you prefer and it would still work but I encourage you to use the zucchini as it def adds a great texture. I've also made this with Acai and Maca powder and it turned out equally fabulous so feel free to flavour it in different ways and try various fruits as well.


120g Frozen berries
100ml Coconut milk (you can use whatever milk you want)
100g Zucchini/baby marrow
30g(1 scoop) Protein (I used Strawberry Casein)
3 Ice cubes
Toppings of your choice (I used coconut flakes, chia seeds and cacao nibs)


  1. Place your berries, milk, ice cubes, protein powder and zucchini into your blender cup and blitz together! 
  2. Pour into a bowl and add with your toppings(go as crazy as you would like!)
  3. Enjoy!
